INEC RECOGNIZES ABURE AS LABOUR PARTY CHAIRMAN AFTER LONG BATTLE WITH PARTY UNRECOGNIZED STOCKHOLDERS  The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally recognized Barrister Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party, along with Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim as the National Secretary.  This development comes after a long-standing legal battle and a recent court order compelling INEC to recognize the Abure-led leadership. According to reports, Abure and Ibrahim attended a quarterly consultative meeting between INEC and political parties, where Abure congratulated INEC's acting chair, Mrs. Agbamuche Mbu, on her appointment.  Via another handle, the Labour Party's National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, confirmed that INEC has been asked to upload the party's candidates for the FCT Area Council elections.
